Dr. Monika Pajek

 Veterinarian

Dr. Monika Pajek graduated in 2008 from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. She came to Canada from Poland and joined our growing team in 2009, initially as a technician while working on obtaining a Canadian Veterinary Licence. In May 2013, she was granted a restricted license from the College of Veterinarians of Ontario and started training under Dr. Davinder Jassal’s supervision. In January 2015, she moved to the position of full-time veterinarian after fulfilling all the necessary licensure requirements. Dr. Monika’s professional interests focus on internal medicine and nutrition with the aim of involving pet owners in every step of our patient’s life.

True bird lover, Dr. Monika enjoys long bird-watching hikes. During her years as a technician, she rescued a couple of abandoned baby birds, eventually releasing them back into the wild.

Joyce

Office Manager

As far back as she could remember, Joyce has always been interested in pursuing a career in the veterinary field. Her first experience was working in a veterinary clinic during her co-operative placement in high school. After high school, she worked in a veterinary hospital, where she acquired more knowledge in the field. Since 2002 Joyce has been a valued employee here at the Eglinton-Hwy 10 Clinic. In 2006 she obtained the position of practice manager. Joyce’s home has become a safe haven for animals. Her passion and nurturing towards animals are definitely an asset to this clinic and our clients. Joyce’s ambitions for the future are to continue her education and further her career here at the Toronto Veterinary Clinic.

Raquel

Veterinary Technician

Raquel joined the team a little earlier this year as an animal care attendant. She has been working with animals since around 2015 for her Co-op placement in High School. Raquel graduated from the Animal Care program at Sheridan College in 2017. She has a strong love for animals and wanted to further her career with them, so she is currently attending Sheridan for the Veterinary Technician program. Raquel has always loved animals and continues to give them the best care, as well as striving to maintain great customer service. When she’s not at the clinic, she is either hiking with her dog Kaly or playing with her cats, Sophie, and Phoebe, and her newest additions to the family, Ivy Rey & Ember.

Cara

Veterinary Assistant

Although Cara graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier, the pandemic has helped her find her true passion for working with animals. She has always loved animals growing up, especially small dogs, which is why she raised four yappy little Chihuahuas. Cara is furthering her experience within animal care by working at Toronto Veterinary Clinic and Eglinton Hwy-10 Veterinary Clinic, and she hopes to further her career by becoming a Registered Veterinarian Technician. When Cara is not working, she loves to experience everything, from going to Pursuit, Museums, or even Karaoke.
